Similarities in between Public Administration and Private Administration:
Henri Fayol, M.P. Follett and Urvik say the differences between public administration and private administration are nominal. Their goals are almost the same. If you look closely, you will find the following similarities.
(1) Equality in terms of skills
In terms of skills, the two administrations are at almost the same point. That is why many times we see employees in the private administration joining the public administration. Theoretically, public administration employees seem to be involved in private administration. In India, it has always been the case that you see government retirees working in the private sector. After India gained independence, the British administration left the place. At that time, there was a huge administrative vacuum in the country. As a result, the government had challenged private administration officials to fill the gap. The above incidents indicate that neither the government nor the employees are ready to make much difference in the administration and they can easily change their roles or they can easily change their roles without any change.
(2) The same principle of development
Another common denominator between public administration and personnel administration is that the principles of progress and development are the same. Sources of development in both types of governance are related to internal organisational strength. Their development and progress is based on these inherent skills. So be it private administration or public administration. Both administrations can only function effectively if the organisation is efficient.
(3) Similar management techniques
Management techniques in both administrations are similar such as accounting, filing, and reporting. Public administration is influenced by private administration. Theoretically, private administration has an impact on public administration. In fact, they both deal with their confidence as they choose to embark on their play activities. This means that the administration is not inconsistent but mutually compatible.
(4) Importance of public relations
Both administrations have long recognized the importance of public relations. Neither public administration nor private administration could be successful due to the lack of a proper public relations system. Directly or indirectly, the masses are the measure of their success. Therefore, an effective public relations system is needed by both administrations.
(5) The ninth discovery
Capacity building is the goal of both administrations. For this, new principles and tools are constantly being invented. The vision of investigation is another plus side of private administration and public administration.
(6) Changes in attitude
As in the past, public administration does not consider profit a secondary factor. Because in order to keep our existence intact, the public administration also has to look at the profit factor. It would not be out of place to assume that prudent profit is the purpose of public administration instead of irrational denial.
