How the securities market benefits via online dispute resolution mechanisms.
I learned through the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) platform about ODR by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). And this platform i.e. Smart ODR actually helps the Investor and other intermediaries. From the ancient period there is one method used for negotiation, and that term is also we can view in Modern India in how most institutions use their ODR method for dispute resolution. While concerning the Securities and Investment Law Sebi introduced the smart ODR platform for their dispute resolution. When I was learning from this e-learning platform, I gathered various informative and ideal information about Smart ODR including the rules and regulations for this platform and not only limited to but including,- What were the old and new systems introduced in the Dispute resolution mechanism?
- About the ODR platform related to the stakeholders
- Kind of fees associated with the platform usage
- Code of conduct
- Do's and Dont's for investors along with market participants
Being an alumnus of NISM e-learning I adopted a few changes regarding how I can use my Company Law knowledge towards this usage of Smart ODR as an Investor for how the dispute will cross here for justification of resolution through parties.
SEBI has a platform for the registration of complaints against commodities related to the Securities on the SCORE platform, along with Smart ODR helping to get resolution through this mechanism.
Also, this kind of ODR knowledge can enhance my intellectual for my Service of the Corporate Dispute Resolution Service
