The meaning of history

History is not just about digging. Not a futile narrative of the past. History is about finding the meaning of the present in the context of the past. Today's present is the condition of our country, society, and family. To understand this present in the context of yesterday's past is to search for history. Today's present is created from yesterday's past. History is the search for the present. If we want to understand today's independent India, we have to understand capitalism and the sacrifices we made for freedom. The chance of these two words of history, suggesting that this happened.

That is, the history of the last hundred or two hundred years has to be studied. As we go back, we can trace the course of human beings four thousand years ago, eight hundred years ago, four thousand years ago. To know progress and decline from it is to find history.

History is the study of what happened, the study of the past, and the study of the present. When we think of human society as a whole, we want to know how the overall course of human life has changed. The most influential factor in human life is studying to learn this trick. From that factor comes the assessment of the whole society. There are different opinions as to which is the effective factor. According to some historians, economics is the most important factor in human life, while others believe that ideology is important. Some experts consider the past to be important, while others say that history has given a different meaning to history from the point of view of what it is like to examine the past from the past.

To define history in a few words is to define history. Different historians have given different interpretations of history. Although these definitions seem to be very different, they all have the same meaning. 'The whole course of human life, the definition of history, is now becoming universally accepted. Some of the major interpretations of history give an explanation of the means by which this approach can be studied.

In the words of the ancient Greek historian Herodotus, "History is the discovery of unforgettable and important events of the past."

Arnold Toynbee, while explaining history, said that "history is the rise of cultures."

Sir Lord Acton says, "The story of human liberation is history."

Sir John Millie defined history in terms of "history is the politics of the past."

"History is a never-ending communication between the present and the past," says EH Carr.

Karl Marx paid special attention to the means of subsistence of the past and defined history in terms of "history is only a saga of class struggle".

The implication is that while studying the course of society in the past, the search for culture, politics, economic struggles or some important events, the idea that the picture of the society can be drawn from it. For example, one thing is clear from the Marathi phrase 'Yatha Raja Tatha Praja', that by studying the monarchies of the past, the rise of dynasties, the situation of the common society can also be taken into consideration. Note that this formula is at the root of all these interpretations.
